So the other day I was walking through the upper quad and I saw this guy from my mau mau class. He's in the Corp but since they don't have to wear their uniforms during exam week I almost didn't recognize him. I was gonna say hello but then I noticed that he was stalking something. Then I saw that his buddy was about 10 feet away and that the two of them were narrowing in on, you guessed it, the VT squirrel. Of course you know I had to slow down, and I heard the guy whisper (i guess they didn't want to squirrel to hear) 1, 2, 3, GO! At which point hey both made a mad dash towards their target. One of them tripped and fell and the other was just too slow, and alas everyone's favorite woodland creature got away.
Now I just can't understand why A) anyone would seriously attempt to catch a squirrel, and B) I'm wondering what do you with it if you actually manage to catch it. Do you bring it home, and be like "hey mom look what I found". Or do you let it go again, which makes the whole thing a bit pointless. My friend Sarah thought that maybe they were gonna eat it. I don't really know what they were thinking, but it made for a pretty entertaining scene. So thanks for the laugh corp boys!
